Cst Doug Scott, age 20 years old. Just a kid. And another constable pays the ultimate sacrifice. Gunned down in cold blood - responding to a drunk driver call. Last night, at work, we heard the news shortly after 11. I don't know what can be done, but something has to be. In a small detachment where only two members work - one sleeps while the other is on duty. And so they're at risk for this kind of tragedy...
My prayers are for Cst Scott's family as well as my co-workers in the Nunavut OCC.
